First of, according to the the latest survey report from Hudson Singapore, we should expect hiring expectations to remain strong towards the second quarter of 2011. In the survey, 61% of respondents said they'd be hiring until the next quarter. It is still an employee market; staff retention and skills shortage are seen to remain the most challenging HR issues over the next six months. Job seekers are supposed to be in the groove; don't get too worked out on your job search.

We've always acknowledged Singapore's two Integrated Resorts, Marina Bay Sands and Resorts World Sentosa as powerful boosters for the tourism industry. Two ministers have recently acknowledged the benefits the Singapore economy has derived especially from their casinos. The IRs are going strong....your job search for hospitality jobs, casino jobs, tourism jobs, and travel jobs shouldn't be bumpy. So, don't worry too much.
