What DBS Looks for in a Candidate and More...

Today's post is another DBS post. But we're featuring not just one but two professionals from this large bank!

Russel Mok is the Vice-President of Technology & Operations – Customer Centre at DBS. He shared to us a lot of things ranging from what it's like working for DBS to the qualities they look for in a candidate. Mohamed Yusuf Ali Jina, on the other hand, is the Assistant Vice-President, Technology & Operations – Credit Operations . He also shared to us his life as a DBS professional and some tips for applicants looking to work at DBS.

Our Question: What have been the highlights in your career in DBS?

Russel Mok's Answer: I am very fortunate to have been able to rotate between front-end and back-end roles in my career at Customer Centre. And this has given me the breadth of knowledge and experience to have a complete end-to-end understanding of customer service operations. It has also helped me understand our customers’ and their needs better.

Another highlight would be the opportunity I got to pursue my MBA part-time while working, which is something that’s not available in many companies. With the opportunity and support given to me by DBS, I completed my MBA in 3 years.

Our Question: What qualities do you look for in a candidate keen to join DBS?

Mohamed Yusuf Ali Jina's answer: Someone who has and believes in the DBS values of P.R.I.D.E.
