Airlines Jobs. Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore. Industry Focus is back!

If you ever listen to anything we say, listen to this: you want to visit our blog every Friday. Singapore jobs, online contests, and industry news are what we do best, apparently.

But we've hated the slacking off behaviour since college. Although we view feedback as an important part of the writing process (as we've mentioned previously), that doesn't mean we're not posting quality career articles every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday any longer because we've given up on getting you interested on these days. We're dragging the challenge for another year. We'll still do, even though it's kind of given that not a lot of people will read them. It's that thing they call...what is it again? Devotion?

Is it apparent now what we've planned to do today? We've chosen to do this today because many of you may have already labeled it "lost" and we want to benefit from the intrigue factor. To those who are still getting themselves familiarised with our ways over here, this blog has already undergone lots of revamps and changes (because well, we're flaky writers at best, but it's for the good...so). The thing is, we haven't done this in a while.

So, do we need something from you? Perhaps, patience? Just give us your undivided attention and we'll be good.

If you've dropped by sometime last week, you probably know what we're talking about. It's been so long since our parent website, sg.jobsdb.com, has featured an article for Industry Focus, and we're really excited. There. Is it still not obvious?

Yes. We're referring to this new upload about Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) at sg.jobsdb.com/SG/EN/Resources/JobSeekerArticle/Enabling%20Opportunities?ID=595. We kind of remember promising sometime last week that we'll give it a proper feature on this blog within this week. Now's the best time for it, we believe.

Anyway, the aviation industry in Singapore is a healthy one. There has to be a reason why it's seen as a great place to work in by many people, including us. It's probably because it doesn't just accept anyone -- special skills are required in order to function well in the job positions under this field. If you're interested in building a career out of an aerospace job or airlines job someday, you should definitely read this article. If not (probably, you're happy with your Singapore accounting job or IT job already), who are we to force into a career change? But please enjoy this feature too. We haven't done this in a while, right?

We've got bits of wisdom from the following CAAS key people:

  • Mr Clarence Tan, Manager (Planning & Development)
  • Mr Lim Khoo Sun, Principal Technical Officer
  • Ms Chee Yen Ting, Manager (Aerospace).
  • Mr Daniel Ng, Deputy Division Head, AI Division
  • Ms Tan Hwee Yee, Manager (Air Cargo and Logistics)

If you've always wanted to learn from them (or maybe you're really just interested in how CAAS works), the article is more than just a reference.

And in case you want to read more about airline services jobs in Singapore, we recommend this article about Singapore Airlines at sg.jobsdb.com/SG/EN/Resources/JobSeekerArticle/singapore-airlines.htm?ID=109.

So, there. Short but meaningful.
