Learning and success. Career Events and LearningDB.com updates.

So... how would you grade our Singapore jobs update last Friday? Did it introduce you to new prospects? Or perhaps, what it did was motivate you into doing more for your job search? We're crossing our fingers that you'll answer "yes" whichever instance applies to you. It's very not like us to follow up like this, like we've got no other choice but to resign if you answer negatively...we know. But really, to these writers, feedback is an important part of the writing process. Ergo, the process can't go on unless you give us your shot.

So, will you give us this favor and share your insights at the comments section below?

Anyway, today's a Monday and we're not supposed to be talking about our insecurities as writers and jobs in Singapore for that matter. Before anyone gets irritated and give up reading right now (yes there will be a good part in this post, so be patient), today marks the beginning of January's last week and a lot will be happening. Let's start, shall we?

And no, this isn't just a copy of what we've written Monday last week. We only repeat if it's necessary, right? Anyway, this will serve as a reminder if you've signed your attendance to one (or more) seminars way before. Have you forgotten?

For those career professionals who are still deciding whether to invest their money on LearningDB.com and Career Events or not, consider this as another one of our sales talks. We won't stop until you swear your loyalty! Heh. Just kidding.

Unleash Your Image Power Through Dressing & Etiquette with Audrey Quek was a success and we'd like to take this opportunity to thank all those who had made it so. Missed it? Don't worry, the next one from Career Events is also about personal branding, albeit more focused on the presenting aspect. Just look at the left side. If you're interested, we suggest you sign up as early as now because FlowerAdvisor is giving away free vouchers to first 10 sign ups. Visit www.jobsdb.com.sg/StaticContent/SG/CareerEvents/default.htm for more information and the sign up sheet.

How about LearningDB.com? If your boss is planning to expose you and your colleagues to more training opportunities this year, we suggest you pass him the link to www.learningdb.com.sg asap before he finalizes anything. The seminars are a bit on the expensive side, but this is because we're concerned with quality. We bet your boss wouldn't mid. The website's track record is an impressive one, having already helped more than 30 Singapore top companies with their learning and development needs. Help us put your company in this list at www.learningdb.com.sg/client_list.htm.

Anyway, LearningDB.com has many seminars for business professionals this week, starting off with Sowmya Varadharajan's "Introduction to Transfer Pricing" to be held tomorrow. Sign ups are still accepted!

Next in line is Lim Lian Soon's Internal Controls & Fraud, which is scheduled to be held on Jan 26. Aside from those looking to learn the basics of the entrepreneur mindset, we also encourage HR professionals -- those with HR manager jobs and HR executive jobs -- to attend. Those with other admin jobs are encouraged to attend as well.

HR professionals who specialise in compensation and benefits should attend Sivakumar Saravan's Withholding Tax on Jan 28. Amar N. Hari's Business Goals Workshop is next. Since this is also going to discuss the basics of goals setting, we suggest everyone out there who is aiming for career success to come and join the discussion. It will be worth it!

For more information, please contact LearningDB.com at 6861 1000 or email to learning@jobsdb.com.sg. Sign ups can be made at www.learningdb.com.sg/default.htm#Jan. Locate these seminars' respective web pages over there. And because we like doing things in advance, give us more time to promote the February schedules at www.learningdb.com.sg/default.htm#Feb.

And that's it. We don't want to hold you guys any longer because it's Monday and well, we've already said enough useless stuff. But don't forget to share your insights below. You'll make us really happy if you do. Or if you don't want to, you can instead show your support by being our follower.

Happy learning!
