Looking for a job in Singapore? The latest buzz in the job market, ed. 3.

No. We don't regret saying all those good things about cliches yesterday. We've already gone against the status quo... there's no point in hiding our real selves anymore. Thing is, we're not as conventional as you probably think we are. To reiterate this weirdness even, allow us to use another cliche to start today's post: "The best things in life are free."

Another no. We didn't just get that out of nowhere. There's a heavy reason why of all cliches, we've chosen that one to feature here. Why? You'll found out later (or if you've dropped by here sometime between Tuesday and yesterday, you probably know the reason already). Anyway, let's go to the Singapore jobs, shall we?

Yes. We've found many useful bits for this week's update on Singapore openings. So...you know, where we're getting at, right? Have your paper and notepad ready because you'll find lots to take note of once we start. And we're starting in 3, 2, 1...

This year is turning out to be a job seeker's market, according to analysts. We've read from our favourite news sources that many employers in the industries of banking and IT are currently looking for new talent and seeing that they will be doing so for the rest of the year. This is derived from the results of a survey from Hudson Singapore of 450 executives. Worth noting because this is considered as the highest level of hiring expectation in 11 years. So, prospects wise, it can be said that job hunters of Singapore banking jobs, finance jobs, IT jobs, web developer jobs, team lead jobs, programmer jobs, among others, are pretty much covered and have nothing to worry about.

It's also useful to note here another finding of the survey. Perhaps to motivate you to do more for your job search? Many employers are ready to give benefits this year as an answer to the staff retention issue. Key terms like work life balance, salary increase, are training opportunities are being talked about, fyi.

What about the other industries? Accounting jobs, insurance jobs, media jobs, and engineer jobs in Singapore are out of the question, but here's something to motivate those with jobs that require technical skills: Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong has reiterated that there will always be demand for supply chain jobs, cook jobs, technician jobs and skill worker jobs.

We don't know if we've really satisfied you with these findings, but this sure is fuller compared to the past two editions. Anyway, we hope that you'll continue dropping by our blog every Friday. You can be sure that we're always looking for ways to improve our research skills and writing skills.
